Shop EU PartnerThe endless musical card — but you record the song
For every other card in our catalog, we picked the song. For this one, you do. Record up to 30 seconds of audio directly into the card — your voice, a song, a sound effect, an inside joke, an impression, a serenade, a confession, anything. When they open the card, your recording loops non-stop and plays for hours, until the battery dies.
It's the card we made for the songs we couldn't make ourselves. We've had customers ask for years if we'd make a card playing a specific song — sometimes a famous one we can't license (we made a video recently using "Pocketful of Sunshine" from Easy A, and the requests haven't stopped). Now you can. Whatever song they'd recognize from the first three notes, whatever song was yours — the wedding song, the road-trip song, the one from the summer you met, the one that's just an inside joke between the two of you — record it, send it, let it play. Unlike a paper card that gets read once and forgotten, this one keeps playing your message for hours.
How the Recordable Endless Card Works
- Record. Open the card and press and hold the "Press Here" button. After the beep, you have up to 30 seconds. Release the button to stop.
- Review. Tap the button quickly to play back what you recorded. Don't love it? Press and hold again to re-record from scratch — as many times as you need.
- Arm it. Once your recording is right, sign the card, insert it into the envelope, and pull the tab from the spine.
- Loop. When the recipient opens the card and presses the button, your recording loops non-stop — even if they close it or press the button again — and plays for hours, until the battery dies.
- Glitter trap. If they try to break the card to stop the sound, a hidden glitter trap is waiting inside.

Ideas for What to Record
- The song that's yours — the wedding song, the road-trip song, the one playing the first time you met, the one that's an inside joke nobody else would get. The song they'd recognize from the first three notes.
- A song you can't buy as a card — that one specific song that means something to them; the one no greeting card company would ever license.
- A personal serenade — sing "Happy Birthday" yourself. Off-key is funnier. They'll keep it forever.
- A message from far away — for grandparents, long-distance friends, or anyone you wish you could be there in person for.
- From the kids — record them singing, laughing, or yelling "Happy Birthday Grandma!" on a loop. It will absolutely make her cry.
- Office birthdays — every coworker records one line. Stitched together, it becomes the greatest birthday card the recipient has ever opened.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sign the card before it activates?
Yes. You can safely sign the card and it will play one-time. Close the card and it will stop.
How long does the song play?
Once activated, the card plays continuously for 3 to 6 hours until the internal battery dies. There is no off switch. Please note; batteries are like a sponge so if they open it again you'll get more music.
How do I stop the song?
Once activated there is no off switch. The song plays until the battery dies. Attempting to destroy the card triggers the hidden glitter (or in some cases the glitter is found when the pull strip is removed). That's the prank.
Does the card come with a Glitter Envelope
No. All cards ship with a plain white envelope. The glitter is already built inside the card itself, either hidden inside waiting to be unleashed or behind a pull-strip reveal. If you want the full glitter ambush on the outside too, we sell Glitter Trap Envelopes separately.
