Add hours of cats meowing 'Happy Birthday' to any card you send

Most envelopes are background. This one is the gift. It's a 5×7 musical glitter-trap envelope that turns any birthday card into a small, weird, wonderful event. Slip in a card, seal the envelope, pull the tab on top, and you've armed it. The moment the recipient opens it, a person enthusiastically meowing "Happy Birthday" starts playing on a loop and a chunky glitter explosion deploys from inside. Then the meowing keeps going. For hours. Until the battery dies.

It pairs perfectly with our endless musical birthday cards — drop one of our cards inside and they get a card playing one song and an envelope playing meowed birthday wishes simultaneously, which is more commitment than any standard card has ever attempted. But it works with any standard 5×7 birthday card, including ones you already have, picked out, or made yourself. The meows do all the talking.

How the Endless Envelope Works

  1. Test the sound. Open the envelope flap once to hear a sample of the meowed birthday song. This is safe mode — the envelope won't fully arm until later.
  2. Insert the card. Place your birthday card inside (a Joker Greeting endless card pairs especially well; pull its tab now if you're using one).
  3. Seal the envelope. Remove the adhesive cover strip on the flap, fold it down, and press to seal. It's self-sealing — no licking required.
  4. Arm it. Pull the tab on top of the envelope. The envelope is now armed with meows and a hidden glitter trap.
  5. Deliver. Hand it over or mail it like any other envelope. The moment they pull "LET IT RIP" the glitter falls and when they lift the flap the meowing kicks in. The meowing keeps playing for hours, until the battery dies.

Ideas for When to Use It

  • Pair it with a Joker Greeting endless birthday card — a song from the card, meowed birthday wishes from the envelope, simultaneously. Maximum commitment.
  • For the cat person — the obvious one, and it works exactly as well as you'd hope.
  • For a kid's birthday — meowing is objectively funny to a child. They will request the envelope on loop for a week.
  • For the friend who appreciates the absurd — meowed "Happy Birthday" is exactly the right amount of strange.
  • For someone you don't see often — long-distance birthdays where the envelope itself does the work of being there.
  • When you've already picked out the card — you don't have to swap it. This envelope upgrades whatever you've already bought.
